In 1923, Henry Petry Sr. bartered for a small garage business in the town of Finlayson, MN. Since then, Petry’s Bait has been on the same corner of Highway 18 and has continued to grow right along with the surrounding area. The business was run by Sylvester Petry and then sold to his son, Calvin in 1978. The business was sold by Calvin in 2003 to a close friend, Craig Skaff. Both the business and the footprint has grown, but the small town feeling is still the same. Petry’s now offers fuel, groceries, sporting goods, clothing, giftware items and of course, bait.
